(WASHINGTON, D.C.) — Today The American Highway Users Alliance partnered with a diverse group of American shippers, deliverers, and retailers to launch the Americans for Modern Transportation (AMT) coalition.
“Americans for Modern Transportation understands the changing behavior of American consumers, and has identified necessary policy changes to modernize the way families and goods are transported,” stated Highway Users President and CEO Greg Cohen. “Responsible investment in the national highway system and cutting edge technology research will help to secure a safe and efficient infrastructure for future generations.”
“Central to this goal is combining infrastructure enhancements with efficient trucking and policies as well as incentives for better safety and fuel technology. We are excited to work with transportation leaders and innovators in the new administration and 115th Congress to make strides towards a modern transportation system,” Americans for Modern Transportation added in their release.
