The Highway Users is pleased to report that the House overwhelmingly defeated the Broun (R-Ga.) motion to slash highway funding in fiscal year 2013. Only 82 of the House’s 242 Republicans voted for the dangerous measure. Democrats voted against the motion as a unanimous block.
The Highway Users considered the Broun motion a “key vote” and lobbied with many other transportation groups to defeat the motion.
We thank all of our members and grassroots supporters who responded to our Legislative Alert and contacted their Members of Congress.
