On August 20, the Highway Users joined the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) and other safety stakeholders to file a friend of the court brief in support of ITS America, AASHTO, and the Amateur Radio Emergency Data Network (AREDN) efforts to appeal the FCC order to reallocate a portion of the 5.9 GHz spectrum band to unlicensed uses including WiFi.
