In early December, the Highway Users co-signed a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) urging passage of the bipartisan State, Local, Tribal and Territorial Fiscal Recovery, Infrastructure & Disaster Relief Flexibility Act. This bill would give state and local governments the ability to immediately spend funds on infrastructure projects while waiting for the IIJA to be implemented over the next several years.
