(WASHINGTON,DC) – The American Highway Users Alliance (Highway Users) President and CEO Andrew Stasiowski issued the following statement on President Trump’s signing of three resolutions eliminating California’s Electric Vehicle mandate:

“The American Highway Users Alliance is thrilled that President Trump has signed the Joint Resolutions which end California’s Electric Vehicle mandate. This is a victory for the driving public by preserving consumer choice and allowing people to purchase the car or truck that is right for them, their families, or their business. The state of California and the Biden Administration set unrealistic expectations for the auto and truck manufacturing industries to meet. These mandates threatened jobs and would have increased costs for consumers and businesses who need to buy a new vehicle.

The Highway Users would like to thank President Trump for his leadership on this critical issue. We also thank House Speaker Johnson, Majority Leader Thune, Senator Capito, Senator Fischer, Senator Mullin, Rep. James, Rep. Joyce, and Rep. Obernolte for their leadership in pushing these resolutions through Congress with bipartisan support.”
