The Highway Users Supports the DRIVE Act
June 23rd, 2015

Highway Users President & CEO Greg Cohen spoke at a press conference with “The Big 4″ Senators on the Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW). Chairman Inhofe (R-Okla.), Ranking Member Boxer (D-Calif.), Subcommittee Chairman Vitter (R-La.), and Senior Subcommittee Member Carper (D-Del.) and other industry leaders rallied support for the DRIVE Act, a new highway bill that provides sustainable long-term funding through 2021. The Committee approved the bill unanimously by 20-0 vote on June 24th.

Economic Costs of Disruption from a Snowstorm

In partnership with IHS Global Insight, the American Highway Users Alliance has re-released a study estimating the economic impact of snowstorms in sixteen U.S. states and two Canadian provinces. The study found that hundreds of millions of dollars in economic opportunity are lost each day that a state is shuttered by impassable roads. Continue reading
